The author shows the importance of the project component of the professional activity of a teacher in Health and Wellness, reflected in the regulatory documents regulating the educational process. The reasons influencing the decrease in the readiness of teachers in Health and Wellness to design the educational process are shown. The directions of solving the problem of developing project-oriented competencies for undergraduates of education in Health and Wellness are presented. The directions for the development of project competencies in the process of studying the discipline “Design of additional educational programs in Health and Wellness” and externships (pedagogical, trainee, design and technological) are presented. It is determined that the success of the development of project-oriented competencies depends on the use of basic tasks in the study of the discipline “Design of additional educational programs in Health and Wellness” and in the course of externships (pedagogical, trainee, design and technological).
