Development of personal resources of parents raising children with disabilities as a factor of successful adaptation of a child in the inclusive environment

The article analyses the features of parent-child relations and personal characteristics (self-esteem, psychological defense mechanisms) as a basis of enhancing adaptive resources of parents raising children with disabilities in the context of inclusive education. Such parents have low self-esteem and immature defense mechanisms, they use a controversial style of parenting. Psychological assistance should be aimed at finding intrapersonal resources, relieve of emotional stress, practicing constructive ways of behaviour.
