Development of leadership capacities in younger schoolchildren

The article is devoted to the problem of developing leadership capacities in younger students. We have considered various approaches to the definition of the concept of “leadership”, described age and psychological characteristics of developing leadership capacities in younger schoolchildren. The article analyzes the situations, which facilitate the development of such capacities in younger schoolchildren. The article describes an experimental study aimed at developing leadership capacities in elementary school pupils. We offer recommendations for teachers to improve the level of development of leadership capacities in younger schoolchildren, which contain the methods, techniques, forms and means of work. In general, it is noted that skillful systematic guidance of a teacher will contribute to successful development of leadership in younger schoolchildren.
