The development of leadership potential in children at the older preschool age

The research considers the problem of the development of leadership potential in preschoolers and their positive leadership qualities. The relevance of the study is determined by the orientation of modern preschool education towards the positive socialization of preschool children. Negative manifestations of children's leadership (demonstration of strength, aggressiveness, desire for dominance, submission to their will, etc.) lead to conflicts and deformation of interpersonal relations among children in a peer group. It is established that an important condition for the success of pedagogical work focused on the development of children's leadership is the cooperation of teachers with the families of pupils, providing for the inclusion of the family as a social partner and an active subject in educational relations in the pedagogical process. The authors have developed a methodological model for the development of the leadership potential of older preschoolers in the context of cooperation between teachers of a preschool educational organization and families of pupils. The implementation of the model in educational practice will expand the positive social experience of older preschoolers, increase the motivation and interest of family members in creating conditions for the manifestation of the leadership potential of their child and nurturing positive leadership qualities as predictors of his/her future success in life.
