The development of scientific knowledge about folk art in the system of art education

The increasing importance of folk art in the General system of spiritual culture of our society requires at the modern stage ofproviding great attention not only to problems ofpractical development folk activities, but also to its scientific justification. Theoretical bases of artistic culture can fruitfully be formed only when they are deep and systematic exploration. In the indicated direction was conducted in the country, and conducted a lot of research work, including the higher school. The article is devoted to the problem of understanding the contribution of higher education in the process of scientific substantiation of traditional art.
