The development of the theory of general and high education: typology and genesis

Different approaches of typology of the theory of General and Higher education in the history and at the modern state of Russian Pedagogy are discussed. Based on the analysis there are researched four main approaches to the development of the theory of general and higher education -knowledgeable, active, culturological and competitive. Also there is shown a periodization of the development of theoretical basis of general and higher education based on this approach typology.
