Creative non-standard lessons are necessary to hold students' interest to foreign language learning, to develop creative thinking both in native and foreign languages. Such lessons not only motivate students to learn more, but also increase the number of lexical units learned, reduce the number of grammar mistakes. The author presents a lesson on topic "Jokes and Anecdotes" focused on development of students' creative thinking skills.
