Implementation of competence approach in educational activities of a higher school

The article deals with the competence approach as a solution of the problem of qualitative vocational training. The special value of the competence approach for the modern stage of higher education development is emphasized, taking into account the need for qualitative changes at all levels of the educational process. The author considers the elements of the competence approach in training, independent and research work, as well as educational activities and monitoring and assessment in a higher school.
