The article considers reflective diary as one of the ways to self-evaluate achievements by students. The reflective diary allows students to record the dynamics of changes in the development of professional competencies, evaluate critically educational activities. The content of the diary questions reflecting the study of major topics, modules or a course is revealed. The author describes the results of the reflective diary implementation in the educational process of a pedagogical higher school. The paper discusses the main advantages of its application, as well as the difficulties encountered by both students and teachers.
