This article is dedicated to the religious and scientific activities of Yulia Nikolaevna Danzas. The subject of the study is the main milestones of her life and religious pursuits. In the pre-revolutionary period, she wrote research on the history of Christian sectarianism and gnosticism, was a state maid of honor to the Russian empresses, during the First World War she fought as part of a Cossack regiment. After returning to Petrograd, Yu. N. Danzas worked as a Public Library, taught at a pedagogical institute, and worked as a director of the Petrograd House of Scientists department. Her religious search ended in 1920-1921 with monastic tonsure and transition to the movement of Russian Catholics, where she played one of the leading roles. In 1923, Yu. N. Danzas was arrested and sentenced to imprisonment in the Solovetsky camp. After her release at the request of M. Gorky, she lived abroad until her death in 1942, where she continued to actively engage in religious and literary activities. Yulia Nikolaevna’s works have left a noticeable mark in the history of Russian religious thought and continue to be reprinted in our time.
