Each language contains the history and development of the people, their experience and way of perceiving reality. Due to differences in traditions, values and mentality, each nation has its own linguistic picture of the world. The study examines the actualization of migration in the phraseological space of the Russian language. Phraseological units are of particular interest to study, because they are a guide to the deep and hidden layer of the consciousness of the people, helping to uncover the cultural fund. Phraseological units are stable, expressive and reproducible, and are a reflection of cultural memory. They identify the most significant concepts for a particular linguistic culture. In many phraseological units, the opposition of one's own / someone else's is actualized. The concepts of MIGRATION / MIGRANT are actualized in phraseological units that fix concepts such as homeland, native home, native country, family, etc. Homeland is represented in a bright image of a mother, and a foreign country is a stepmother. The phraseological units show the reverent attitude of people towards their homeland, respect and love. It appears as the only possible place to find happiness.
