The reversibility of ideas in philosophy: in search of a new hermeneutics

The paper discusses the question of modes of intellectual communication, interrelation and in terpenetration of philosophical ideas in Russia and in the West in the light of the crisis of the theory of dialogue of cultures, exposed in the current geopolitical situation. The concept of the reversible movement of ideas as an original historical and philosophical framework for the hermeneutic analysis of philosophical texts is presented for discussion. The methodology of the reversible movement could become a substitute for the classical dialogue as a meeting and communication of «the Self and the Other». The reversible movement of ideas in philosophy needs to be distinguished from the psychological use of the notion of reversion; it is not a process of a onestep collision, confrontation or even reception of others’ ideas. What is being discussed is the emergence of new knowledge in the diachronic collision of conceptual ideas and cultures in a new narrative description. Reversion means a complex path from the birth of an idea in a certain environment to its assimilation and adaptation in another cultural and historical area and its further ideational filtering through a system of alien cultural codes, discourses and narratives into a new unique creative «product». The specifics of this process is that the original idea, as a rule, loses its original form, meaning and sense and becomes the intellectual basis (ground) for a new discourse, which represents «new» ideas and knowledge in a new time and in a different cultural situation.
