Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a disease whose occurrence is associated with the proliferation of the periurethral zone of the prostate gland. The incidence of BPH increases with age: 11.3% in men aged 40-49 years, by the age of 90 it reaches 90% and in almost 40% of cases surgical treatment is required. Surgical intervention is performed in an open way or endoscopically.
