Rhizome principle of interdisciplinarity as a pedagogical condition for development of technical university students’ creative competences

The article presents interdisciplinarity from an understudied perspective, based on an analysis of the scientific and philosophical literature. Whereas traditionally in pedagogical research and literature this concept has been considered in relation to disciplines with permanent connections, the present study focuses on the possibility of methodological application of interdisciplinarity based on the rhizome principle of incidental connections. The article provides a brief historical background and an analysis of the scientific literature on the significance and use of the rhizome principle of interdisciplinarity in science. The applicability of the pedagogical experiment as a pedagogical condition for the development of creative competences of technical university students is exemplified. Noted that the use of the rhizomic principle of interdisciplinarity contributed to improving the creative competences of the examinees. Furthermore, this fact can be used as a starting point for prospective research in the field of pedagogy and other sciences.
