Parental “general education”: socio-psychological aspects of implementation

The article examines the socio-psychological aspects of the implementation of parental “general education” as a direction of activities of educational organizations and interdepartmental practice. The organi za-tional and normative foundations of interaction with parents in the framework of educational activities are determined. The dynamics and variability of concepts reflecting the difference in approaches to understanding the parents' activity in obtaining psychological and pedagogical knowledge are shown. The study describes regional practice of researching parents as subjects of preventive activities. As a result of a comparative analysis of the data obtained, it reveled the degree of parental satisfaction with changes in the regional interdepartmental prevention system, as well as the differentiation of the needs and requests of parents in educational activities and interdepartmental cooperation. The qualitative analysis made it possible to single out the parameter “trust” as a key parameter in the parents' willingness to turn to specialists in the social and psychological service, class teachers, specialists of the interdepartmental prevention system to help in solving problems, as well as when interacting within the framework of parental “general education”.
