The Role of the Discipline «Foreign Language» for the Formation of Students’ Humanitarian Culture in Tourism Universities

The relevance of the research is due to the development of the humanistic concept of education - the transition of higher education from the traditional «knowledge» paradigm to a personality-developing one. To overcome the spiritual and moral crisis, the modern society needs a professional with advanced development of personal potential, capable to solve staff tasks, taking into account the interests of the organization and society as a whole. Of particular importance in this context there is a problem of developing students` humanitarian culture as the way to overcome the narrow professional technicism of thinking. In this regard, we will consider the training of students in the tourism sector by means of the discipline «Foreign Language».
