The article describes the opportunities and benefits of using online technologies while teaching extramural students. Special attention is paid to such successful categories of distance learning as knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, and evaluation. The author emphasizes that the introduction of distance education technologies on the Blackboard platform allows one to expand the possibilities of the traditional education system and fosters the formation of the competencies necessary for the future economic specialist. The article indicates an important feature of the combination of extramural and distance learning that is the presence of a systematic “living” contact of students with a teacher, which has an effective information and motivational impact on them. The study notes that the introduction of distance education technologies increases the visibility and quality of the presented teaching materials, promotes students to work independently on the theoretical course. The author concludes that distance technologies complement significantly, develop and expand traditional activities.
