The role of the connotations in the development of the phraseological meaning (based on the phraseological units of the modern German language with the animal component)

The article deals with the connotative aspects in the meaning of the phraseological units with the animal component of the modern German language. The author analyzes the semantic essence of the animal component and the ways of the semantic transformation. There is given the detailed description of the phraseosemantic fields.
