Developing meta discourse techniques to particupate in and host virtual medical lectures

The article gives a brief review of multifaceted functions characteristic of the meta discourse of virtual medical lectures and suggests the need to develop practical skills to participate in online medical discourse community events both as a lecturer and a presenter. The importance of mastering the meta discourse techniques as well as politeness and communication strategies is emphasized. Structural, etiquette and stylistic features of virtual medical lectures are outlined.
