The article examines the phenomenon of students’ industry identity as a result of the interaction of pedagogical, social, cultural and symbolic factors. Particular attention is paid to the role of mentorship and dynastic codes in the process of forming a sustainable industry identity. An integral model of this process is presented, including five components: mentoring, dynasticity, symbolic environment, reflection and communicative interaction. It outlines potential applications of the model in diagnostics, educational environment design, and institutionalization of intergenerational practices. Empirical validation is based on case studies of students from transport and engineering universities engaged in mentorship and dynastic programs. The findings confirm that a combination of meaningful mentorship, intergenerational continuity, and reflective support contributes to the formation of a stable professional identity and enhances students’ engagement with the sectoral community.
