The role of continuous education in the development of multicultural competence of teachers

The key role of continuous pedagogical education in the development of multicultural competence of modern teachers as the challenge response of globalization and cultural diversity of the educational environment is substantiated. The specific strategies of professional self-development of teachers, implemented in the context of continuous pedagogical education and focused on the development of knowledge, guidelines and practical skills for the efficient work in multiсultural class, are considered. The reflexive practices, work with cases, project-based methods and use of digital resources are paid special attention. It is concluded that continuous pedagogical education is both the source of knowledge and the support system for the conscious self-development of teachers in the multicultural aspect.
