The role of a vocal teacher in the elimination of children's speech defects

The article focuses on the role of vocal teacher in the process of children’s speech defect (stuttering) correction. The problem can be solved on the complex of logopaedics, psychology, pedagogy, sociology, musical art. The profession of vocal teacher is positioned as a functional model, the separate main pedagogic functions connected to the teacher’s knowledge in the sphere of psychology, the hygiene of the vocal apparatus, correctional pedagogy, the theory of artistic creativity. In the unity of the implementation of all main functions of vocal teacher let him to solve individual strategic tasks according to pupils’ characteristics. At the end the author comes to conclusion about the importance of improving the musician-pedagogue’s professional training for providing the possibility of studying the methods of music-pedagogic work with pupils experiencing the emotional and physiological difficulties.
