Modern Russian cinema often uses scenario-based literary works, but not often such works are the literary monuments of cultural heritage. In the basis of the movie "Viking" (2017) Director Andrei Kravchuk is the book "the Tale of bygone years" - an ancient monument of Russian literature. The film is shocking how accurate the episodes described in the book, and a free interpretation read by the authors. To form a correct attitude to the visuals of the Viking, you need to hold a student audience in complex labyrinths art history knowledge.
