The article deals with the role of the Russian piano school in the development of Chinese piano culture. It is noted that the Russian piano school appeared in the middle of the 19th century and underwent significant development both in style and genre. Over a long period of time, it made significant achievements both in the field of composing and performance. This fact resulted in a significant influence of the Russian piano school on the musical art of foreign countries. In the middle of the 20th century, Chinese musical culture, including piano performance, developed significantly. A large number of pianists appeared who transmitted Chinese piano music, but at the same time were deeply influenced by the Russian piano school. The article deals with the peculiarities of the Russian piano school and the peculiarities of the educational process of prominent Russian piano teachers (A.G. Rubinstein, K.N. Igumnov (1873-1948), A.B. Goldenweiser (1875-1961), G.G. Neigauz (1888-1964), S.E. Feinberg (1890-1962), etc.). The aim of the study is to examine the peculiarities of the development of Chinese piano culture in the context of the influence of the Russian piano school. The object of the study is the process of integration of the principles of the Russian piano school into the process of teaching Chinese pianists. The subject of the study is the Russian piano school in connection with the Chinese musical culture. A number of works by Soviet composers that serve as examples of the strategic development of Chinese piano music (in particular, works by P.I. Tchaikovsky and S.S. Prokofiev) are identified. The importance of the Russian teachers' piano teaching methods in the development of Chinese pianists and their influence on the general development of piano art in China is demonstrated.
