The role of education internship and field assignments in the development of future primary school teachers

The study reviews the main issues of managing and conducting education internship and field assignments of future primary school teachers in natural science. Education internship and field assignments in natural science are aimed at integrating the natural science learning bases with the agricultural ones. Primary professional and research skills acquired during the internship will help future primary school teachers to manage children activities in the training and experimental area. Education internship is compulsory and is a type of training that focuses on the practical vocational training of students. The base of the internship is the National Ecological and Biological Center for Students (Ulan-Ude). During the field assignments, students travel to a number of administrative districts of the Republic of Buryatia. The education internship and field assignments consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired by students as a result of mastering theoretical courses, develop practical skills and contribute to the integrated achievement of the cultural and professional skills of students.
