The article reviews longstanding G. Bashkuev's cooperation with theatres, mainly the Buryat state academic theatre named after Kh. Namsaraev, which put up almost all plays by Bashkuev of the 1985-2007 period. The authors analyze his plays of recent years as the start of new stage in the playwright's theatre life.
