Russian iconography as unique cultural phenomenon

Orthodox tradition of iconography is the backbone and according to the Orthodox culture of the necessary integrity. Now particularly pertinent for the establishment of a unified social and cultural, spiritual space of Russia, revising the existing views in this area in accordance with the new realities of modern society. In this article the author examines the diffusion part of the cultural experience of Russia in the framework of perception of Christianity and Christian culture from the Byzantine Empire. Drew attention to its polychrome Russian culture associated with a combination of Orthodox Christian norms and cultural processes.
