The article examines such important archetypes and symbols for Russian self-consciousness and worldview as “eternity”, “life”, “health”, “whole”, “Cross”, “sobornost'”, “unity”. Shown is their semantic and value relationship with the main shrine of Russia - the Holy Trinity. The Russians made the salvation of the soul a priority cultural value and defined their main historical task as the fraternal unity of people and the restoration of universal ties. For the sake of accomplishing this task and in the name of faith and brotherly love, they show their readiness for self-sacrifice on the cross. Restoring the integrity of man and the universe is the main condition for their healing. In our culture, the Whole acquires the status of a vital Goal.
