Health and resort activities of the Russian Federation: features and trends

The article analyzes the health resort activities of the Russian Federation. Sanatorium-resort activity carries an important role for the country’s economy and public health - it is a comprehensive prevention and support of public health, financial receipts from activities, as well as increasing the tourist attractiveness of the territory. It was concluded that the number of sanatorium-resort organizations in Russia and the number of places in them decreases every year, however, over the past four years, the number of vacationers in them has been increasing, so, on average, over the last 10 analyzed years, 5671 clients were placed in sanatorium-resort organizations. The ending 2020 turned out to be difficult for the sanatorium and resort activities, as well as for many other areas of activity. The Russian government has taken a number of measures to minimize losses and risks, which are being implemented at present.
