The gender approach to the education in the higher educational institutions represents an independent interest owing to the fact that it responds to the idea of the democratization of the society and preparation of the University's students for productive activities in the society build on the principles of the equality. The basic approaches to the definition of the fundamentals of the gender education are considered. Problems of the influence of the education on social mobility and life strategies of the graduates are discussed. Scenarios of the development and formation of the gender education in higher educational institutions of foreign countries and modern Russia are presented.
