Domestic violence against women in Russia: problem statement

He article deals with the current problem of one of the widespread types of violence - domestic violence against women. An analysis of statistical data on domestic violence in the period 2019 - 2020 is carried out. The bill on domestic violence is also considered and proposals for the prevention of domestic violence are put forward. The question is touched on the specifics of the activities of internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation in the consideration and resolution of offenses and crimes related to domestic violence against women. Author’s conclusions and suggestions for solving the problem of domestic violence against women are formulated. The directions of practical activities of the police and authorities of the solution of the indicated problem are proposed.
