School media center: a new approach to understanding motivation

The paper discusses a new approach to solving the urgent problem of attracting and retaining students in school media centers. Despite the growing role of media education and the development of the technical base, heads of media centers often face difficulties in involving schoolchildren in long-term work. The author offers a step-by-step algorithm for applying the methodology, including specific tools: interview templates with potential participants, ways to analyze the information received, examples of identifying and using various motivational factors.Special attention is paid to the practical aspects of the implementation of the approach in the work of the school media center.
