The paper analyzes the scientific publications of domestic and foreign authors on different aspects of the problem of overtraining in athletes (the definition of "overtraining syndrome", risk factors, causes, pathogenesis, symptoms, diagnosis, and the main directions of prevention). Analyzed 115 sources, 98 of them - foreign authors.
