Every year, the need for high-quality training, retraining and advanced training of professional personnel in tourism increases, and therefore educational organizations need to use new ways and methods to improve the quality of education. The socio-economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan is closely related to the quality of educational activities, with the level of training of graduates. Therefore, educational organizations strive to meet international educational standards, one of which is the certification system of tourism education quality UNWTO. TedQual. The authors considered the possibilities of use, indicated the goals and advantages of using the system of quality certification of tourism education. The characteristic of the necessary criteria for obtaining this certification is presented, and the process of obtaining certification is considered on the example of the Kazakh Academy of Sport and Tourism, the Faculty of Tourism.
