The determining role of the material factor is revealed by analyzing the spheres of social life. Society arose at a certain stage in the evolution of nature.

It is a part of nature and at the same time it is qualitatively different from it. It is a complex structured whole, all the elements of which are in constant interaction. In this structured whole, different spheres perform different functions, differing in significance for the subjects of history. In order for society to function as an integral social education, first of all, production and reproduction of immediate life is necessary. In other words, it is necessary to continuously and continuously produce material values, build housing, factories, factories, produce food, clothing, etc. This is a natural process of the historical development of society. Therefore, Marx argued that the mode of production of material life determines the social, political, and spiritual processes of life in general. In other words, the economic factor ultimately acts as one of the determinants, as one of the driving forces of the historical process. The determining role of the economic factor does not mean at all that the genetically economic sphere precedes other spheres of social life. All spheres are in unity and none of them precedes the other. The economy determines the historical process as a whole, but at each stage of its development other spheres may act as dominants, i.e. can play a dominant role. Take, for example, politics. She often played a dominant role in various social processes. Thus, different spheres of society are variant, and each of them can dominate in specific historical conditions. The economic sphere is a determinant. It is an immanent variant, but invariant for the whole historical process. Dominants and determinants are in dialectical unity and constantly interact.
