Educational export is one of the processes that improve the image of our country, which is responsible for the spread of Russian culture and the Russian language. In modern conditions, the role of higher educational institutions and international services is increasing, since the training of foreign students strengthens the authority and attractiveness of the university in the socio-cultural space of the country. The attractiveness and result of mastering educational programs largely depend on the student's satisfaction with the educational process, on the level of proficiency in the language of instruction, as a means of communication and mastering the profession. An important role in the professional and personal formation of a person is played by socialization, which acquires new qualities in the socio-cultural space. Consequently, the success of education and the level of professional training of foreign students directly depends on the degree of social adaptation in the host country. This fact acquires special relevance, theoretical and practical significance. The article discusses the processes of social adaptation and professional socialization. Particular attention is paid to the structural elements of adaptation and the key factors affecting socialization are analyzed. The article also emphasizes the relationship between the processes of social adaptation and professional socialization, where the former serves as the basis for the formation of a full-fledged professional identity. The results of the study are focused on the creation of functional models that contribute to the development of educational strategies for the internationalization of higher education.
