Social competence as purpose of education of the personality

Results of the content analysis of the concept "social competence" are presented in article. The problem of formation of social competence of future programmers is formulated. Social competence is defined as the dynamic integrated characteristics of the qualities of the personality allowing to carry out harmoniously social roles and to develop at interaction in society and the professional environment.
