The content of the concepts of “profession”, “vocational education”, “career guidance” varies in different countries, and domestic researchers not only point out their ambiguity, but also justify the need to either look for a replacement for them, or put new meanings into them (N.S. Pryazhnikov). Today, career guidance is not limited to “tying a person to work, he really has some specific abilities, but it helps him to perform a variety of activities, and success in work depends on systematic progress and adaptation in the process of work” (O.P. Sadilova, I.A. Mushkina). Professional self-determination of high school students is a significant social effect of the educational environment. If young people do not have the opportunity to realize their potential, this increases social risks, therefore professional self-determination becomes an element of national policy. At the international level, youth career development programs are being developed as a resource for the sustainable development of countries. The higher the level of per capita income in the state, the greater the impact it has on professional orientation.
