The subject of the article is the main factors that have a negative impact on pedagogical activity in relation to migrant children. The main theme is the role of the education system in the process of adaptation of migrant children. The aim of the work is to analyze the current state of the problem of teachers' readiness to work with migrant children. Identification of the main social and pedagogical factors impeding the readiness of teachers to work with children of migrants. The methodology of the work is to find theoretical directions of scientific research related to pedagogical activity with regard to migrant children. The results of the work contain an analytical review of the factors that impede the work of teachers with migrant children. The area of application of the results is the process of developing a model for the formation of teachers' readiness to work with children of migrants. Conclusion. Currently, the education system does not respond to the current demographic situation in the context of multicultural education. Teachers play a key role in the social adaptation of the child from the migrant's family, but the problem of educating teachers in working with migrant children remains open.
