Corruption is one of the main threats to modern society. It is especially dangerous in the field of education as a cultural transmission, preservation and transfer of cultural experience. The work contains an attempt at a systematic theoretical understanding of the socio-psychological aspects of corruption threats to security in educational institutions. Research methods – theoretical analysis and synthesis of socio-psychological problems that generate and accompany corruption processes and safety threats in modern educational institutions, identify measures to combat corruption and analyze denunciation as one of the forms of confrontation and support for corruption. Results. Simulations and reforms of modern education are carried out as part of the total commercialization and commodification of education under the guidance of non-professional managers. Lack of professionalism as incompetence, in addition to the lack of professional and, often, national identity and labor motivation adequate to the tasks of education, to the tendency to pursue and achieve the goals of one’s own well-being at the expense of the educational institution and its resources, including profit and career growth, enhances the corruption orientation of relations in modern educational institutions: by means of soft and hard corruption, generating numerous violations of the labor activity and relations of teachers, their didactic and educational interactions with schoolchildren and students. One of the attempts to overcome deformations is denunciation, as a contradictory and deformed in its goals and values system of ways to influence different types and different levels of subjects of educational institutions on each other. Conclusion. The fight against corruption involves a return to the traditional, essential and essential for education goals and values, models and methods of educational relations, as well as the management of educational organizations by professionals involved in dialogical interaction with each other and other subjects and stakeholders of education.
