Socio-psychological aspects of the new information reality

The article emphasizes that in recent years, information transfer technologies have changed dramatically, especially in social networks. These changes affected the content, the algorithm for creating and transmitting information. These transformations are largely related to the creation and promotion of the second generation of Web 2.0 network services, which offers more opportunities for interaction and communication between users. They can not only share their opinions, experiences, and knowledge, but also create online communities around various topics, as well as post personal messages. However, along with the expansion of communication capabilities with the development of Web 2.0, new difficulties have appeared. For example, the information selection algorithm manipulates Internet users by offering content based on interests, which causes a change in personality attitudes, with a fixation on comfortable information as opposed to objectivity and reliability of information. It is extremely difficult to motivate people to take an analytical approach to information content. One of the few opportunities is to teach children how to analyze information obtained from classical and new media in the process of learning at school.
