A recent Sloan Management Review study found that people today are 10 times more likely to quit their jobs due to an unfavorable work culture, rather than low compensation or work-life balance. In other words, people don't quit in pursuit of better pay. They run from feeling overwhelmed, overwhelmed, and underappreciated.
