Social capital in a dynamic measurement: the case of the vologda region

The study of the social capital of an urban community is of practical importance, since it can provide answers to questions regarding the observed differences in their socio-economic development. The information base of the presented study was the materials of surveys of the Vologda Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, conducted from 2016 to 2021. The results of the study showed that before the start of the pandemic, the situation with social capital was quite prosperous, there was a small but gradual increase. The pandemic had a negative impact on social capital stocks, and after overcoming the initial pandemic impact, the population began to restore their level of social capital, in some areas even surpassing pre-Covid levels.
