The article examines the problem of cultural war as an integral part of armed struggle, as forms of violence by means of culture and as arenas of battle of attributive factors within culture. In this regard, analysis includes such modern actions and campaigns as cancel culture, language ban, religious intolerance, discrimination against other cultures and their representatives, ban in signs and symbols of other cultural societies, distortion of the essence and meaning of historical-cultural events, discrimination of foreign cultural meanings and ideals, alien inculturation, imposition of moral anomalies, etc. It has been observed how these actions turn into aggression, spiritual attacks, provocations, and even bombs in the form of fake rumors, distortions using even NLP and AI technologies/ It is relevant to understand the topic in the context of such a modern form of cultural interaction as soft power. Here, the analysis involves specific sociological research material related to the functioning of consumerism and cultural isomorphism. In the context of the relevant Decrees of the President of the Russian Federation, of the cultural aggressiveness of the West is considered against the backdrop of the ongoing NOW. This line of analysis is related to Y. Lotman’s concept of cultural explosion. At the same time, an opinion is formed about such a line in the cultural dialogues of modern times, as an analogy of cultural means and forms of violent influence on the enemy.
