The article deals with the speech functioning of the passive. There are revealed the similarities and differences of the reasons causing the sub-language distribution of the passive constructions in the wide sub-language fictional prose, one of the most significant spheres of the communication. The authors determine the interrelation of the grammatical (syntactical) structure of the text and its semantic character in the process of the analysis of the sub-language distribution of the passive constructions.
