The contents of the process of formation of patriotic culture of students

The article deals with the content of the process of formation of Patriotic culture, revealed through the prism of categories «patriotism», «homeland», «protection of the Fatherland», etc.; substantiates that the basis of the system of education of Patriotic culture of the younger generation is patriotism as one of the basic national values. The process of formation of Patriotic culture of schoolchildren is focused on the formation of a highly moral personality of the graduate, the characteristic of which is based on the Federal state educational standard of basic General education. The article describes the main directions of activity of the teacher of a comprehensive school on the formation of Patriotic culture of schoolchildren. The goals of the directions are revealed: formation of knowledge and ideas about the history of the Fatherland, defenders of the Motherland, patriotism, Patriotic culture; introduction of students to the values; development of students ' skills, Patriotic behavior skills, gaining experience. The article emphasizes that within each of these directions the formation of one of the components of Patriotic culture of schoolchildren is carried out most effectively. Thus, within the framework of the first direction, a cognitive component of Patriotic culture of schoolchildren is formed, within the second - a value component, within the third - a behavioral component. The correlation between the structural components of Patriotic culture of schoolchildren and the activities of the teacher in the formation of Patriotic culture is shown. The article presents some forms and methods of formation of Patriotic culture: a lesson (message of new knowledge, lesson-practice); conversation, problem dialogue, problem solving, practical tasks, group work, working with the text of the textbook as methods. There are examples of the use of methods of formation of Patriotic culture of schoolchildren in the lessons of social science in the 6th grade (topics «Human Needs», «Man and humanity»). The conclusion that the content of such subjects as «History», «social Studies» has the greatest potential in the aspect of the formation of Patriotic culture of secondary school students is substantiated.
