Sonomimemes as ethnocultural markers in Shor Russian-language prose

Бесплатный доступ

The article discusses the peculiarities of functioning sonomimes as ethnocultural markers in the Russian-language texts of Shor bilingual writers (F. S. Chispiyakov, S. S. Totysh, G. V. Kostochakov). According to the cognitive-semantic classification of ethnocultural markers, there are two types of sonomimems - explicit and implicit. Explicit sonomimemes are expressed by Shor lexical units and directly distinguish themselves on the Russian-speaking background. They function as conventional onomatopoeia and as occasional acousto-symbolic formations of the Shor language, as contaminations of Russian and Shor language units. Implicit sonomimemes are expressed by lexical units of the Russian language and are found in the Russian texts only with regard to the context and in the presence of special background knowledge. They are occasional lexical units of the Russian language, and are also the subject of a metalinguistic expression in the characters' speech.
