The ratio of classical and contemporary dance in the process of professional training at the university

The authors of the article consider the problem of the correlation of the disciplines of the professional block, specifically, academic dance directions and techniques of modern dance directions. The article offers the author’s recommendations on optimizing the educational process in accordance with the requirements of the state educational standard and professional competencies. The methods of differentiated teaching are considered in accordance with the level of professional data of students. The role and importance of the tutor’s work in the choreographic education system is determined. The analysis of the application of a personality-oriented pedagogical approach in the system of professional choreographic education is made. Using the example of the analysis of the learning process at the choreographic Faculty of the Moscow State Institute of Culture, the authors of the article propose a model for organizing the educational process, and formulate the necessary professional and personal qualities of future teachers and choreographers, which are necessary to form it in the process of professional education.
