The paper is aimed at the study of the correlation between subjective well-being and emotional intelligence among students of the humanities and technical specialties. It has been established that there are significant differences in the characteristics of emotional intelligence and subjective well-being among students of humanitarian specialties and students of technical specialties, which indicates differences between these groups in understanding their own and other emotional states, emotional self-regulation and self-motivation, life satisfaction and a sense of happiness. Significant correlations between emotional intelligence and subjective well-being of students of the humanities and technical specialties have also been identified. The application of the obtained results is advisable in the process of psychological and pedagogical support by specialists and advisory practice, when drawing up development programs, as well as finding new ways to increase the level of subjective well-being and using the characteristics of emotional intelligence as a psychological resource.
