Free access

The article presents a study aimed at determining the conditions for improving the basic cognitive actions (associated with reasoning, planning and combining) elementary school, especially in the second grade. As one of the noted conditions, the author's program "Thinking 1" was used, which included material (search tasks of various kinds of non-educational content) for conducting 18 additional extracurricular activities. The control group included 91 people, the experimental group - 97. As a result of the experimental work, it was shown that classes on the "Thinking 1" program really contribute to the improvement of cognitive actions in second graders.
